It's looking like I'll be passing out at the beach too, probably going to get absolutely burnt as well. BUT I DO NOT CARE! I am in that strange, good, tingly mood/feeling again and I'm going to enjoy it for now until it's torn down. There are certain forces (or persons ;D) at work making me feel pretty lovely right now and I hope it stays that way.
Off to the beach then. |

Glad that I didn't end up showing it to a whole lot of people like planned, I really can't handle people shit-talking or talking through my favourite flicks. Anyways, Keith, Kevin, and Kim (holy crap K's) all sat through it, almost completely without a peep. And I think they all enjoyed it, if not a little weirded out. Keith is definitely psyched to see the remake sometime this week. And we've decided on what our halloween costumes are this year. |

| [ | My Moods |
| | pissed off | ] | Well the party was both excellent and awful. And everything I thought was going to go wrong, did not. However plenty of other shit happened I really didn't care for.
People did arrive at 4:30-5 which I thought was going to be tough, but they made it, excellent. We all jumped into Keith's car and went to riverhead. He made reservations and we got there on excellent time. Excellent. Ate, people sang, I had cake, we left.
NOW, this is where it gets awkward/awful. Colleen showed up halfway through dinner, even though she was only supposed to come to the movie(s) (she originally got off work at 6). Then she started on all this "hey let's go to the strawberry festival let's go to the fair" shit that I said no too. I gave people over a week to know what the fuck was happening, I don't just randomly change my plans. Anyways I thought I made it clear we were to come back to the house and watch the double feature.
We get to the house and the girls (Meg, Jenni, and Colleen driving) don't show up. We wait, still don't show up. Then goes a little texting battle between Keith and Meg on how they went to the strawberry festival, said that I told them they could go to the strawberry festival, and that they invited us to go...to...the...strawberry festival. Now I don't think I need to tell you that I did no such thing. Kevin and Keith AND Danae were all at the table and heard nothing of the sort. So I was a little pissed.
I don't like to put the blame on one person when things like this happen, but in all truth it really is Colleen's fucking fault. She drove them there, Meg and Jenni (who may or may not have wanted to go) were passengers. So anyways back at home me and my remaining guests played Rock Band for a while, then went upstairs and sat outside to watch the lightning (told my dad to tell the girls we had gone to the fair if they ever showed up again). We then decided to break out the old N64 and play Pokemon Stadium, which was fun every time the power didn't flicker out.
Eventually, they came back. And there was obvious tension. I tried to just forget it and not bring it up and try to salvage the rest of the night (it was too late to watch two movies now). So we played a bit more, then went upstairs. Somehow me, Keith, and Jenni went outside in the rain and just went nuts. The other two stayed inside and made pizza rolls.
Afterwards we went downstairs and decided "LET'S WATCH THE SECOND MOVIE". I chose Marie Antoinette because me and Meg have been wanting to watch it together for quite a while now. It was going...alright. Obviously this wasn't everybodies cup of tea, but nobody was being downright obnoxious. That is until somebody invited Kyle. Now I don't so much mind if people invite others to a last-minute movie night or get-together, but it would have been nice to actually KNOW HE WAS COMING.
The rest of the night was terrible. Everyone talked through the movie and made fun of every scene. Throwing their shit around the room and getting the place filthy. I would've much prefered to watch MA with Meg as just the two of us. And I could tell Jenni probably felt bad for leaving us for the fair because she kept close to me quite alot and kept telling me happy birthday, and I couldn't blame her for anything.
It was about 3:30am when people started leaving, leaving me to clean up. But I got an amazing gift from Meg and some cute cards.
Will I have a party like this next year? Maybe. But I am going to be so fucking strict about it (I thought I was this time) that people are just not going to want to come. Also, no Colleen. |

| | 'Kids' - MGMT | ] | So, take this with a grain of salt but, we had a tornado yesterday. I don't really believe it was a full on TWISTER OF DOOM occurance, granted the area looks like it was just through one, I'm sure an actual one would cause more damage. It started like 15 minutes after we came back from Louis XVI's, and I thought it was going to be a short rain storm. But noooo, looked like it was flooding or something.
Our glass table outside shattered. And aparently the basketball net outside fell into the fence but I didn't see any damage. All around town tree's were scattered in the streets, in power lines, on roofs. Of course we ended up losing power, and that day felt like hell, literally.
We didn't have power for most of today either, but maybe an hour ago it came back. Throughout yesterday and today I kept switching all the lights on, even though there wasn't power. So today riding up the street we noticed street lights and TV's in windows, and then we pull up to our house and it's like fucking new years. Every window was crazy bright, I loved it.
Anyways, we picked up Danae and I got to meet Else (sp?). She was a trip. Super nice too. Aparently I'll be going with her to see some photo-shoots and things. Tomorrow will be fun. Going to Pandy's with dad in the morning, then off to the Death Cab concert around 3. Cannot waaait. Hope everyone else is having a good (birthday) week ;D |

Other than the oh-so perfect timing of a Joanna Newsom track there was one other tidbit that was the cherry on this freaky thriller.

[May. 31st, 2008|11:37 am] |
In the end I think there were about four or five guys. I watched as they were called up to model something, and some of them did okay, and some exaggerated. Then they'd go back to their tin houses and they were beheaded. Their heads were put on burners and their bodies stood next to them. They were laughing and talking normal, but like they were at gunpoint. I wasn't any of them, I think I might've been a spectator sitting on some steps overlooking the area, but I can't be sure. Over and over I saw one after the other, just burning, and laughing. But they didn't look so much "burning" as they did on fire, until I thought that exact sentiment and soon they really were starting to burn. My right arm started to feel like it was burning, even though I wasn't any of them, I wasn't on any burner, and I woke up.
There were other things involved in my dream; Madonna rap-synching from my sister, a fat old lady on a rock who wanted to throw out her garbage, exercise, and an island city that I took pictures of from above. But nothing really scared me like the finale. |

| | 'The Bees' - Louis XIV | ] | The party at Pandora's was fantastic. Her house is something straight out of a Wes Anderson film; I wouldn't have been surprised to see Margot Tenenbaum walking around. Granted I did spend alot of the time in this little nook next to the kitchen with the folks, I did enjoy it all. Pandy is just...undescribably awesome. I swear she is like the epitome of everything fabulous. She had on this blue dress with parrots on it and no shoes, never seen without a cigarette. I didn't get to meet her husband Yve (i think, it's pronounced Eve), or her dauther, OR her step-son (like his father they're aparently both big assholes) but I'm sure I will some other time.
Had my first vodka tonic. I gotta say it was alot better than I imagined, might even be my "drink" one of these days. ALOT of people showed up as expected, so I did feel a little outnumbered (and underdressed!) but I really did enjoy myself. Spent most of the evening just hanging around with the parents and snapping pictures with my disposable.
I can't explain how amazing the house was, and what Pandora was like. When my dad goes back to do whatever he does there he said I can tag along and have coffee in the little nook we were in. The help they have there are really nice, two of them live in the house year-long.
Anyways it was a killer party and the two people I invited should be kicking themselves.

| | 'Little Bird' - Goldfrapp | ] | Bah, I didn't get any sleep last night. But last night was great-tastic so I don't mind so much. And going out to breakfast shortly too! This weekend is shaping up to be pretty nice as well. Going to a rowing competition from 4-6, then to the Brookhaven fair at around 7 on friday. Then on the 25th we'll be picking up gramma from the airport and later on in the day we'll be going to one of dads clients parties. The woman whose hosting it sounds amazing (I think I already mentioned this) and I'm dying to go. Not sure if I'll ask anyone to come with. Keith isn't going to NC aparently so I might hit him up on the weekend.
Looking for work is proving fruitless. But there might be some hope in the future. Besides some office work for my dad, Keith mentioned the Hilton in Riverhead needs people so there's a chance I might sign up there. This other job dad mentioned sounded a little too good to be true. Aparently this client of his pays 1k a week for those guys who wear bright orange vests and stand in the road directing traffic. I'm sure there's more to it, but who knows. Aparently Danae is going to be working at a restaraunt we frequent often and it seems like my mum wants me to join. I don't know how many times I need to say "refuse to work with food again" to get it to sink into people. For realsies no dealsies!
So I'm going to try finishing a little birthday video for someone and get some sleep today. Wish me luck. |

I have very little to wear right now and I might have to wait until much later to actually get dressed. But today seems pretty vacant so I don't have to worry.
Although I'm starting to stress about August. I made plans to meetup with someone at APW this year, and aparently the weekend it's on the family will be in Canada. So now I have to find a ride, then MAYBE I'll be able to make it. Piss me off! I guess I wouldn't be completely heartbroken if I didn't end up going, but it would be the tops if I could. |

Danae's competition went alright. She was reeeaaalllly excited I was there, and she got second in her race. There were a few times when Lorraine showed her face, one time I only heard her voice and my dad was like "let's go this way!" to avoid her. Another time I was just sitting on this lobby couch and she came in. I couldn't tell if she saw me, I mean of course she saw me, but it took her a second to say "hey Chad". Before we went home she was standing near me and a bunch of other people and she didn't say anything to me, which seeing as I WAS her employee at one point, I'd imagine she'd say hello again.
Had a horrible dream last night, and for whatever reason I'm finding it increasingly difficult to describe it. All I know is it freaked me out. |

Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names & why you chose them.
Don't forget to leave them a comment (you're it!) and to read your blog for instructions. You can't tag a person who has tagged you.
Since you can't re-tag me, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can read the answers!
1. I still sleep with a teddy bear. I haven't parted with him since I was 2 and I'd rather have my hands chopped off then ever give him up.
2. I've got a pretty shy blatter. At home I'll always go to the bathroom farthest from people, and at public places I only go if I REALLY need to.
3. I don't like going into stores without buying anything, I feel really bad if I don't. There's this one absolutely TINY store near my street that I know I'd never buy anything from, so I can never go in.
4. When I was in the 1st grade my teacher (who is actually a family friend) told me to colour something blue, and I coloured it purple. It would be years until I found out I could barely tell them apart.
5. Despite the majority of my consoles being from Nintendo, I'm a Sony boy at heart.
6. I get premature grey hairs from time to time. After they accumulate I dye my hair. I did this just a few days ago.
7. I get really obsessive when I really like a new band. I'll listen to one song on repeat for days, then eventually venture into their other tracks, and listen to those non-stop too.
8. I'd give my right arm to see The Jesus and Mary Chain live, but when it comes down to it I think nothing is greater than lying on your bed, secluded, and listening to 'Just Like Honey'.
9. Being alone is scary. I don't even like to pay for things myself. I've ridden a plane alone before, but I can't seem to do most other things by myself. Maybe I'm just too scared to do things on my own, or I'm just so co-dependant it's out of control. Whatever the case, I don't think anyone likes to be alone.
10. I woke up at 4p.m. and I'm going to go take a shower.
I tag mixithepixi, destinationmetz, yesmladytron, hestiaaphrodite, rcarlino3, and ghaknar! |
